Mural pricing varies based on factors such as size, complexity, surface type and condition, and site access. These considerations are combined into a per-square-foot rate, with a project minimum of $1,500.
All estimates include design, labor, materials, and project management.
-
Installation timelines vary based on scale, level of detail, and site logistics. As a general guideline, most murals require approximately 2–3 days of painting per 100 square feet.
Note that custom mural projects also include 1-2 months of design time following contract signing, allowing time for thoughtful concept development, feedback, and refinements.
-
We use professional-grade, long-lasting materials selected specifically for your surface and environment.
Our standard interior paint is Benjamin Moore Regal Select, but exterior murals on specialty surfaces (brick, concrete, metal, previously painted walls, etc.) may require different primers or paint systems. Surface prep and material selection are always tailored to ensure durability and color longevity.

Short answer, yes. Requirements will vary depending on location, visibility, and property ownership.
For commercial properties, approval is typically needed from the building owner or property manager. Exterior murals may also require city approval, permits, or sign-off from local arts or planning departments.
We’re happy to help talk through what approvals may be required and share documentation or visuals to support the process.

Yes, murals can be designed as temporary or semi-permanent, with the approach depending on your space, timeline, and goals.
Temporary murals are often ideal for events and activations, short-term leases, or construction phases and pop-ups.
Temporary mural options may include:
Painted removable panels that are temporarily installed on the wall
Stretched canvas painted off-site and mounted for display
Short-term wall applications planned with future removal in mind
We’ll always discuss surface options, lifespan, and exit plans upfront so the approach matches your needs.

Absolutely. Our custom design process is rooted in discussions with key team members to understand your ethos and project goals.
For a more hands-on approach, we offer collaborative mural experiences that allow employees, residents, students, or community members to participate in painting a mural designed specifically for the space.
Participants don’t need any art background! We design the mural so individuals can contribute comfortably at their own pace. Our role is to create a welcoming, well-organized environment while ensuring the final mural reflects the original vision. The result is a polished mural paired with a memorable shared experience.

Weather is a real factor for exterior murals, especially in New England!
All outdoor projects are scheduled with built-in flexibility. If rain, extreme temperatures, or wind make painting unsafe or compromise quality, we’ll pause and reschedule for the next appropriate window. Clear communication is a priority, and we’ll keep you updated if plans shift.

With proper materials and installation, interior murals can last decades with minimal maintenance. Exterior murals generally last 7+ years, depending on sun exposure, weather, wall condition, and surrounding environment.
We design and paint with longevity in mind, and we’re always happy to advise on protective coatings or maintenance best practices.
